The average American woman wears a size 16-18, and when it comes to shopping for a bridal gown her options are extremely limited. Ella & Oak is bringing customizable wedding gowns to plus size brides with a streamlined and simple online dress customizer experience and an at-home "try and buy" kit. Brides can shop for their dream dress, guaranteed to fit perfectly for their big day.
Ella & Oak started as an idea with an initial mentor team engagement which included mentors Derek Nicholich (Nasty Gal, Wildfang, Reformation, Society Plus), and Tabea Soriano (General Partner at FUTUREMADE) as well as FoundersPad partners Genevieve LeMarchal and Chris Capdevila. Shortly after, FoundersPad stepped up to lead the seed funding for Ella&Oak.
